Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo is starting the 2023 new year by touring North America and bringing hyper-pop artist Slayyyter along to promote her latest LP, Dirt Femme.
A Bit About Dirt Femme by Tove Lo
Dirt Femme is Tove Lo’s first as an independent artist, and she released it through her own record label, Pretty Swede Records. The goddess of intoxicating dance floor anthems uses the Dirt Femme persona to explore her femininity and investigate disturbing emotions.
Throughout the album, the “2 Die 4” singer finds the sweet spot between fear and freedom. Specifically, on the track “Grapefruit.” The sizzling standout sees Lo throwing herself against walls and grabbing her body as she expresses how filming The Emigrants influenced thoughts of bulimia. The show’s strict diet protocol caused these destructive ideations. Read the full review here.
The Dirt On The ‘Dirt Femme’ Tour
Further, Tove Lo mapped out her 2023 North American headlining tour to support her new album. The tour contains 17 dates, 14 within the U.S.

Starting February 6th in Nashville, some other city highlights include Richmond, Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle and Vancouver. Then, the tour will close in Los Angeles on March 2nd. However, Tove Lo already misses out on some big crowds by neglecting staple states like Massachusetts, Florida, and Texas.
After her North American Leg, she will take on the Lollapalooza circuit in Colombia, Brazil and Argentina.
What Is The Dirt On The Opener, Slayyyter?
The St. Louis native joining the ‘Dirt Femme’ tour, worshipped 2000s pop culture and music. For example, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga are some of icons that dominated the 2000s (and still do.) Slayyyter’s dazed and confused pseudonym gave her the confidence to make the music she did not hear on the radio.
However, she maintained a pretty low-key life before turning her dreams into reality. Slayyyter’s glitch-tastic debut single “BFF”, a collaboration with the infamous producer/rapper Ayesha Erotica, was written in-between her shifts as a hair salon receptionist.
Notably, early singles like “BFF,” “Daddy AF,” and “Mine,” snatched critical praise from Rolling Stone, NME, The FADER, V Magazine, Idolator, Paper Magazine, and more.
Amongst selling out her first headlining tour without a project or performance experience first, eventually, she collaborated with Kim Petras on Charli XCX’s “Click (No Boys Remix).”
