TINI & Maria Becerra Bond On “Mienteme”

Argentine singers TINI and Maria Becerra joined forces for “Mienteme,” a new reggaeton anthem.

From Friends to Collaborators

The Latina actresses and singers exhibit their friendship on the new reggaeton song. The first time they worked together in the studio was last year alongside Lola Indigo for the remix version of Becerra’s 2019 hit “High.”

On “Mienteme,” the girls sing about having relationship issues. Specifically, they express the confusion of being private with someone but not being in an official relationship. “Who said friends? If I know you much more without clothes on. I know you want to be with me. Although when there are people you call me ‘little friend.’ I know that you need me…I don’t know what is happening to me. But today I want to go crazy.”

In the Diego Peskins-directed music video for the new song, the stars show off their moves. While the video starts with them riding a fancy car on an empty road, it eventually leads them to a hipster-looking restaurant. They get together with other people and they all put on an amazing choreography, making us all want to learn it and dance along.

“Mienteme” Was Meant to Be

During an interview with Los 40, Maria Becerra revealed some details about the new track. “Tini and I have collaborated together before. We love to record songs, plan when to release them, and ‘Mienteme’ was one of them. Tini said ‘look, I have a song that I would like you to be part of, I see you, only you, I want to get it as close to my birthday as possible, it would be a gift for me.’ For reasons that were out of our hands, we could not get it out for her birthday (March 21). But when she sent me the song, I immediately recorded my part and she loved it.”

About the stunning music video, she mentioned, “It was super long to shoot. It has a lot of choreography, a lot of setups, dancers, everything. An incredible production. You can see in the result the effort that we put into it.”
