Dutch DJ Tiësto and Charli XCX join forces on the sexiest summer anthem of the year, “Hot In It.”
Fresh from her critically-acclaimed fifth studio album, Crash, the 29-year-old embarks on a busy summer full of tours and surprise collaborations. Recently, the pop star performed at the iconic Glastonbury festival alongside Caroline Polachek and other peers. She also performed “Tainted Love” with Soft Cell (live from the Upside Down).
Above everything, Charli has been touring with this album since March 26 and isn’t supposed to stop until Firefly Festival (September 22-25). Rather than relaxing during her free time, she released “Hot In It,” a dance track perfect for the club. To make it more infectious, she adds the notorious Dutch DJ Tiësto to get that perfect spice.

From his underground dance floor bangers to his high-profile Las Vegas residency, Tiësto has over eight billion global streams across platforms. His most popular Spotify song, “The Business,” has nearly 875M streams. However, maybe his most recent and recognizable hit is last year’s ‘Bubbling Under’ track titled “The Motto” with Ava Max. The track currently has 383M Spotify streams with 83M YouTube views.

According to a press release, “Hot in It” is the fourth single from Tiësto’s forthcoming album, following “The Business,” “Don’t Be Shy,” and “The Motto.” The new album will mark his follow-up to 2020’s The London Sessions.
“I knew from the second I heard Charli’s cut on the song that it was going to be a smash, and it’s been amazing to see how everyone has been reacting to the message of the song,” Tiësto remarked in a statement. “The heat on this one is incredible, so excited it’s finally out in the world!”
And well, he is not wrong about that! Even Charli radiates the same iconic behavior with few words: “I’m very excited to get hot in it this summer.” Charli rides the synths into the sunset. And we are left to dance!
