The Weeknd & Ariana Grande’s “Die For You (Remix)”
Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, has just released a remix of his 2016 hit song “Die For You.” At first, the song had been making its revival run through TikTok videos. So, with all the renewed attention, The Weeknd decided to remix the song for the masses. With this decision made, he then asked his friend and frequent collaborator Ariana Grande to sing, not only background vocals, but also a full verse for the remix.
Take a look at Grande’s version of verse 2 of the song:
“I’m finding ways to stay concentrated on what I gotta do
But, baby boy, it’s so hard ’round you
And yes, I’m blaming you”
As fans know, Grande’s music suits slow R&B so well, and her lyrics here fit into the song perfectly. She continues with:
“And you know I can’t fake it, now or never
And you insinuating that you think we might be better
Better me and you
Yeah, I know you do”
The R&B pop song ”Die For You (Remix)” has quickly made its way up to No. 2 on YouTube’s Trending in Music list. After only 48 hours of its release, the official lyric video had garnered 9.4M views.

What Have The Two Been Up To?
The Weeknd has been promoting his new concert film with HBO Max. The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium first premiered Saturday, February 25th. This L.A. concert was part of The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” 2022 tour. You can watch the concert film online with an HBO Max subscription. However, it is a paid subscription, and HBO Max does not seem to have a free trial, unfortunately.
As for Ariana Grande, she’s been filming the first of two Wicked movies lately. She’ll be playing Galinda, one of the two main female leads. Wicked will be a film based on a musical based on a book based on a film based on a book…It makes the brain implode just thinking about all the iterations!
Now, this collaboration for “Die For You (Remix)” will hardly be the last collaboration the two artists do together. Fans and listeners should stay tuned for future collaborations. In the meantime, they can enjoy this new release!
