The Jonas Brothers to Appear at This Year’s MusiCares “Music on a Mission” Concert

MusiCares is gearing up for their star-studded virtual GRAMMY Week fundraiser, Music On A Mission. This year, the event will be a tribute to the humans behind the music; many of whom have been out of work and struggling during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Music On A Mission takes the place of the usual Person of the Year gala. It will feature performances from BTS, HAIM, H.E.R., Jhené Aiko, and John Legend. Alongside these amazing artists that will be performing, there will also be special appearances by the Jonas Brothers. The new virtual event is breaking new ground by making it more accessible to the general public. General admission tickets cost $25.00 which was the initial parking fee at the Person of the Year Gala.

About the Jonas Brothers

On February 28, 2019, the Jonas Brothers announced their comeback via social media and released their new single, ‘Sucker’ that night. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the US Hot Digital Songs chart. It sold 88,000 in its first week, becoming the Jonas Brothers’ first number-one song; and the first number one by a boy band on the chart since 2003’s ‘Bump, Bump, Bump’ by B2K. It became the band’s first entry on the chart since 2013’s ‘Pom Poms’ and their first top 10 since ‘Tonight.’

Later on, in April the band announced their upcoming album Happiness Begins, which was released on June 7, 2019. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, marked the biggest debut of 2019, and maintained the record until Taylor Swift’s seventh studio album, Lover, was released on August 23 of the same year. The album was preceded by a documentary titled Chasing Happiness, which premiered on June 4 on Amazon Prime Video.

Early last year, the band released the single ‘What a Man Gotta Do.’ On May 15, they released a two-track bundle titled XV, which contained the singles ‘X’ featuring Karol G, and ‘Five More Minutes.’ Finally, they released a new Christmas song titled ‘I Need You Christmas’ in October.

Currently, Nick Jonas just released the first two singles, ‘Spaceman’ and ‘This is Heaven’ off his upcoming album Spaceman, which will be released this Friday. Stay tuned to see the Jonas Brothers at MusiCares this Friday, March 12!
