Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga will compete at the Golden Globes for the title of Best Original Song. Lady Gaga participates with the song “Hold My Hand,” from the official soundtrack of the iconic movie Top Gun: Maverick. However, this is not the first time that the singer made an appearance in the Golden Globes’ selection of nominees. In fact, Lady Gaga has received five other Golden Globe nominations, and won two of them, and not only for music creations. In fact, three of the nominations follow her acting role in the movies American Horror Story: Hotel (2016), A Star Is Born (2019), and House Of Gucci (2022). Lady Gaga is also the only female artist – and second person ever – to receive an Oscar, Grammy, BAFTA and Golden Globe in a single year.

Also for Swift this isn’t the first nomination. In fact, the singer previously received three more Golden Globe nominations for Best Original Song – Motion Picture with her participation in the movie soundtrack of The Hunger Games (2013), One Chance (2014) and Cats (2020).

As for Rihanna, this will be the first time she will walk the renowned red carpet of the Golden Globes.

Together with Hold My Hand,” “Lift Me Up,” and “Carolina,” two more songs were nominated for the Best Original Song – Motion Picture category. These are Gregory Mann’s “Ciao Papa” for Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and Rahul Sipligunj, Kaala Bhairava & M.M. Keeravani’s “Naatu” for RRR.

The five songs that received the Best Original Song – Motion Picture Nomination are the following:
