Taylor Swift just announced her upcoming album, Midnights, and Swifties everywhere are crying from excitement.
‘Midnights’
The night of the 2022 VMAs was huge for award shows for several reasons. But, for Swifties, it was the night their dreams came true. Taylor Swift is releasing new music on October 21st. The artist announced her new album in her acceptance speech for Video of the Year, which her All Too Well: The Short Film video won. After the VMAs, at midnight, Swift revealed her cover art and title for the album on her Instagram. Check out the post below!
Though Midnights probably won’t have anything to do with being picked up in a car with “no headlights,” it’s sure to be a hit. Swifties are expecting something different from the artist; they’re expecting to be shocked, yet not surprised. The descriptions in the Instagram post alone give fans cause to believe Midnights will be more vulnerable and perhaps even with dreamlike qualities. Whether it is or isn’t, Swift herself can rest assured, as Swifties will always be there to love the thought put into her music.
Taylor Swift’s Busy Year
Taylor Swift has made 2022 her busy year. From writing and performing “Carolina” for the film Where the Crawdads Sing, to talking on a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival about All Too Well: The Short Film, to making an appearance in the Amsterdam trailer.
Now, Swift will add to the pile of accomplishments with her October release of Midnights. The album is thirteen tracks—Taylor Swift’s luck number—and comes out on the 21st of October. Pre-order the vinyl, CD, cassette, and/or digital album here!
