Diana Ross is reportedly working with artist Tame Impala to create a new single.
Diana Ross’ will release her new album in November featuring Tame Impala
November 5th soul legend Diana Ross will share her first unreleased album since her 2006’s I Love You. After releasing the title track Thank You in June 2021, on September 3rd she shared her second single from the LP, If the World Just Danced. Her comeback album will feature not only her faithful companion Jack Antonoff, but producers of the caliber of Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx and Spike Stent.
In addition, during lockdown the Detroit soul icon had the honor of collaborating with none other than Kevin Parker. Kevin Parker, founder and principal member of the solo project Tame Impala, is an Australian multi-instrumentalist. Songwriter, performer and producer, he is, similarly to Ross, a world-famous artist, acclaimed by critics and public for his works.
Diana Ross seems to want to distance herself from her past to explore new genres and experiences.
The 77 year-old-singer, songwriter and actress, the artist “is determined to push musical boundaries and challenge herself,” a source told the UK newspaper The Sun. “She loves reinvention and melting genres together.” Her age seems not to be a limit for Upside Down hit singer’s passion for music.
Music icon Diana Ross rose to fame as the lead singer of the vocal group the Supremes. After concluding this chapter of her life, she became one of the world’s best-selling artist of all time. As a matter of fact, she won, among the others, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and Guinness World Record’s “Most Successful Female Singer of All Time” award. Not to mention all the awards she won for her actress career! Not only she was nominated for the Best Actress at the Academy Awards in 1973, but she also won as the Golden Globes’ Most Promising Newcomer. And she doesn’t seem willing to stop!
