Moth to a Flame is a single from the Swedish music group Swedish House Mafia and the Canadian singer The Weeknd. The artists released the single as the third from the group’s third studio album. The album is titled Paradise Again and will be released in 2022. Moth to a Flame is the band’s third single of the year. In fact, they also released It Gets Better and Lifetime (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & 070 Shake) both in July.
Both the singles and the upcoming album mark the return of Swedish House Mafia to the music industry. As a matter of fact, the electronic music trio split in 2013 and has just come back. Together with the single, the group also made the video available. It was directed by Alexander Wessely.
Swedish House Mafia upcoming album, Paradise Again
Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello released an entire album only once. In fact, 2012 Until Now is the band’s sole album. “Swedish House Mafia have never made an album before, and historically it takes us a long time to even make a song,” said Angello. “We’re really happy with what it’s become, though—we can’t wait to give it to the world.”
The band claimed they produced 45 songs for the album. Although the album will not feature all of these songs, Angello affirmed that there’s potential for them to release at least some of them at a later time.
In Paradise Again, the band seem to be ready to face a new creative direction. In fact, Swedish House Mafia have publicly declared that they are moving toward a darker side. And this is evident in all the singles that the trio has released so far. The band is “combining Scandinavian melodies with dark production and hard sounds,” Ingrosso said. “We’re always searching for that little bass note that makes your knees go weak”.
Coinciding with the release of the album, the trio also announced their tour. Paradise Again Tour will kick off in July 2022 and run through September. In this period, Swedish House Mafia will perform in North America for 20 dates.
