spill tab Gets a “Sunburn” on New Single

Rising alternative pop artist spill tab released her latest single “Sunburn,” following up on December’s EP BONNIE.

spill tab Lets go of Her Frustration on “Sunburn”

spill tab is quickly becoming an artist you should definitely keep on your radar. Last year, she released her EP BONNIE, which we absolutely loved. The genre-defying artist is always looking for new sounds to try, and she indeed did that on “Sunburn.”

“Sunburn” is a sweet yet powerful track in which spill tab reveals to someone she’s interested in that she doesn’t want to wait around forever just for them to make up their minds about her. “I don’t wanna wait around for you. Not gonna synthesize an argument for the sake of time. No, I’d rather die. I don’t wanna wait around for you. Not gonna synthesize a discussion in between my eyes. ‘Cause I’d rather die,” she sings in the chorus.

“I had a lot of fun making this with Solomonophonic,” spill tab says. He’s been a homie for a while, and I’m such a fan of everything he works on so I was stoked to work together. He’s such an energetic and dynamic person which translates into music, and we both wanted to make something loud and a bit weird. So we started making ‘Sunburn’ on one of his synths running through with a weird-a** pedal he had just gotten and went from there. The lyrics come from a place of unsettledness and frustration, which felt like it matched the energy of the instruments.”
