Summer 2021 Is Finally Here!
Summer is quickly approaching, if not already here and that means it’s time to make the perfect summer playlist. This past year has not been ideal and it didn’t help that we missed an entire summer of great music.
However now, MusicDaily is here to give you back on track with some of 2021’s best hits. From the most popular artists in the world to some of the best hidden gems, we’ve listened all year to give you a summer you can’t forget.
Here are six songs we’ve chosen to get that perfect summer playlist going so we can get back to “normal”.
Doja Cat- Kiss Me More Featuring SZA
To start things off we have to go with Doja Cat‘s “Kiss Me More“. From the soft light guitar melody, to the catchy and punchy bass, everything about this song screams summer. Doja and SZA also make the song their own with energetic verses and beautiful vocals.
Remi Wolf- Photo ID Featuring Dominic Fike
Speaking of energy, Remi Wolf is bouncing off the walls with her song “Photo ID“. This track is just a burst of color from the indie pop artist with a playful unpolished feel. In addition, the live acoustics and Dominic’s verse ramp this remix up to a whole other level.
Sinead Harnett – Last Love
Get ready for one of the best vocal talents to bless your aux this summer. Sinead Harnetts “Last Love” is a 90’s hip-hop inspired pop number that is insanely catchy. This song is just one of many that have dropped from the singer’s second debut album Ready Is Always Too Late. The whole project is a vibe, but this song stands out, especially for those summer rides.
Cautious Clay- Karma & Friends
One of the lesser known acts expected to pop-off this is Cautious Clay. The Indie R&B singer/songwriter has created his own lane with such unique sounds and this single is no different. “Karma & Friends” showcases the young talents range and potential. His laid back and dreamy approach is comforting and the huge of strings is truly immersive. Look for Cautious Clay to drop his first full-length album titled Karma & Friends on June 25.
Silk Sonic- Leave The Door Open
If you aren’t familiar with the iconic duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, then you have been missing out on so much. This newly formed band Silk Sonic has only made one song during their career, but it was an instant classic. “Leave The Door Open” is almost guaranteed to set the perfect vibe for any summer occasion, and everyone knows it.
Brockhampton – Count On Me
Brockhamton absolutely killed it on their most recent album Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine. As the introduction to a new era of their music, the hip-hop/ R&B collective doesn’t disappoint through the whole entire album. If you don’t end up putting every song from the album on your playlist, you have to at least count in “Count On Me”.
