Rita Ora Signs Record Deal With BMG

British singer-songwriter Rita Ora announced her recent partnership with record label BMG; which allows her to have control of her masters.

Rita is Excited About the New Partnership

The announcement comes just as Rita parted ways with her former record label Atlantic Records. Excited about the huge news, the singer took over to Instagram to share them with her fans. “I’m THRILLED to announce that I am partnering with BMG! I couldn’t be happier that they will be my label family moving forward. Their approach to artist ownership and control is very much aligned with mine, and it’s so empowering to know that I will own all of my master recordings that I make from now on. I also feel so motivated to be working with such a dynamic, creative, forward-thinking global company.”

Rita also took some time to thank her former label Atlantic Records, though. Letting it see that it might have been a joint decision.  I want to say a big THANK-YOU to the wonderful team at Atlantic Records, as I’m so proud of our incredible journey together and will never forget the day when we set the UK chart record for the most Top 10 singles by a British female artist.”

She finished the note thanking her fans as well. “I am beyond excited about the new music I’ve been working on and can’t wait to share it with you all. Here’s to a new chapter! See you all very soon!”

BMG is Happy to Welcome Rita as Well

BMG is currently home to other big artists, such as Kylie Minogue, KSI and Run The Jewels. Alistair Norbury, BMG President Repertoire & Marketing UK, added, “We are delighted that Rita, one of the smartest artists operating today, has chosen BMG’s distinctive approach which puts the artist in the driving seat. Rita is unique among UK artists in the breadth of her activities, from music to TV, film and business, something normally only associated with US artists like Lady Gaga and Beyonce. We look forward to helping achieve her ambitious goals.”

Just this past December, Rita joined forces with Sam Feldt for the dance-pop banger “Follow Me.” If you haven’t yet, make sure you go give it a listen!
