Rising Rapper YSN Flow Eats Through the Competition on “Pac Man”
17 year old rising rapper from Cleveland Ohio, YSN Flow, released his latest single and video “Pac Man.” YSN Flow shows off his confidence in being such a young rapper already reaching his claim to fame. “And I been eating like a Pac-Man,” YSN Flow says in new track, referring to his come up and all of the fame and money that comes along with it.
The video doesn’t come with many visuals or props, “Pac Man” focuses on YSN Flow’s “flow,” which is important for growing artists to make clear to their fans before they’re able to go above and beyond with production. The common theme of “underrated” and “slept on” sweeps the YouTube comment sections for “Pac Man.”
Beef for the Meal Ticket
YSN Flow had been putting out music since 2018. The first song he ever released on SoundCloud, “Runnin Up Dis Guap,” was in May 2018. It wasn’t until October 2019 that YSN Flow released “Want Beef?” This instantly became his meal ticket. Within hours he had more than 5 million views on Spotify and SoundCloud, surpassing any previous songs he’s released. Those 5 million soon became tens of millions of streams, numbers he had never seen in his career before. Too keep the “flow” going, he released tracks like “Want Beef? 2.0,” “Illegal Guns,” “OH OKAY,” and “Dirt!”
Soon approached by labels, YSN Flow decided to sign a deal with Republic Records. Under Republic Records is where he released his debut mixtape FLOW $ZN. He teamed up with other rising young artists, such as Lil Tjay, who joined him on single “Bad Vibe.”
YSN Flow has expressed that the YSN in his name reflects his crew, “Young Successful Navigation.” “I really just want to hold my team and my family down… And make the kind of music that will get me some Grammy’s one day,” YSN Flow shares with Republic Records.
