Rediscover MD Discovery Bryson Tiller

Last September, Bryson Tiller released his single, “Down Like That.” However, this was no ordinary single release. The song was part of the soundtrack for a new children’s movie.

That movie? It’s PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie. Based on the massively popular children’s television show of the same name, this was not a throwaway feature. Though children may not have been Bryston Tiller’s initial target audience when he started out, this feature was sure to make new fans of a younger demographic. It is similar to how Doja Cat and Lil Nas X became fan favorites for kids via TikTok and Fortnite.

A short official description of the film is provided below:

“When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups’ archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with Victoria Vance, a meteor-obsessed mad scientist, to steal the superpowers and turn themselves into supervillains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it’s too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.”

“Down Like That” is not the only original song that was made for the film. Also featured on the soundtrack was Christina Aguilera’s “Learning To Fly.” So too was “Bark to the Beat” by Mckenna Grace and blackbear. Aguilera’s single came out through RCA Records on September 22, 2023. Mckenna Grace and blackbear’s single came out through Photo Finish Records on September 15th. Bryson Tiller’s song came out via Trapsoul/RCA Records.

His “Outside” World

The release of “Down Like That” was the artist’s first release last year. Almost two years ago, on September 8, 2022, he released “Outside.” The single samples The Ying Yang Twins’ single “Wait (The Whisper Song).” Then, on October 18, 2022, Tiller put out the music video for the single, guest starring The Ying Yang Twins.

Bryson Tiller’s 2024

This year, in February, Tiller landed his first top 10 song on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart with his song “Whatever She Wants” debuting at No. 8. It made its way to several other Billboard charts in the following weeks. Notably, as of the week of March 16, the song debuted at No. 8 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart.

Clearly, Bryson Tiller takes his time to get everything right, as shown by his well-crafted releases.
