On the last Friday of September, the outspoken and always fashionable Princess Nokia dropped a new track with the help of Yung Baby Tate. “Boys Are From Mars” is the latest track from the New York City native and it has hot girl summer vibes written all over.
With a futuristic pop-inspired beat, Nokia gives ladies a small lesson in independence. Nokia takes the idea that not everything that glitters is gold to a whole other level. In addition to the catchy hook Nokia comes with lyrics like, “I’m not the one, not the two, with my heart you do not play. You was putting on a show, you was never gonna stay, So I took my UFO and I ran up on my way.”
The pop-rap anthem plays off of the infamous phrase “boys are from Mars, girls are from Venus” and take things to another level.
In a very creative way, the Princess let you know that some guys aren’t after your heart. And as far a Yung Baby Tate, she kills her feature on the track as well.
With this track, both artists deliver some braggadocios lyrics while shitting on men that always seem to disappoint them. It’s a subject that fits both artist’s styles well, and their vocals shine from start to finish.
