Welcome to Music Daily’s Trending Tracks, where we highlight the artists and trends occupying the music industry’s attention. Some come out of the woodwork, others have endured a months-long crusade to greatness. Nonetheless, all of them are captivating the short-circuited minds of Gen-Z social media users.

This week, Sabrina Carpenter’s ego is in jeopardy on the latest “Please Please Please” while the chart-savvy track “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey remains steady, and more.

“U My Everything” by Sexyy Red & Drake

The St. Louis native fires her “Pound Town” engines for the anthemic and Sexyy-licious mixtape, In Sexyy We Trust. Sporting features like Lil Baby and Mike WiLL Made-It, but nothing compares to Drake’s nostalgic love bite on “U My Everything.” At the time of writing, the “Ooo, babe, I love you” MC is sporting around 11 million Spotify streams. Currently, 350,000 TikTok videos use the snippet to show off intimate and completely unhinged moments of people’s significant others. Stream “U My Everything” by Sexyy Red and Drake below!

“Pink Skies” by Zach Bryan

Released in late May, Zach Bryan’s “Pink Skies” is an underrated song of the summer. Harmonicas cozy up the single’s patchwork collage, and the warm acoustics can melt a marshmallow at a late-night campfire. This back-to-basics emotional rollercoaster boasts 51M Spotify streams, with video-first social media platforms metabolizing the chill vibe at a slower rate. Stream “Pink Skies” by Zach Bryan below!

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey

Don’t think Shaboozey’s country stint ends with his feature in Beyoncé’s “Spaghetti” with Linda Martell when “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” exists. After a stellar late-night performance on Steven Colbert, the momentum behind the artist’s latest single seemed limitless, eventually peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. His new album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, is a definitive alt-country/hip-hop juggernaut in a post-Bob Dylan world that oozes innovation. Stream “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey below!

“Houdini” by Eminem

In honor of the legendary magician, Eminem’s new single, “Houdini,” leads the rollout for his twelfth album, titled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). The return-to-form single sees iconic self-referential zingers and long-time collaborators Jeff Bass and Bass Brothers again. The “Guess who’s back?” rapper’s latest music video is home (again) to his favorite porn stars and explicit shindigs. Isn’t that just the right “wow” factor for virality? Stream “Houdini” by Eminem below!

“Please Please Please” by Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter is a good girl, and the music video for her latest single (“Please Please Please”) hard launches her Saltburn boyfriend Barry Keoghan, who cosplays a not-so-good guy. The Jack Antonoff-produced track follows summer hit “Espresso,” the first single from her highly anticipated album, Short n’ Sweet, out August 23. The ’80s synth glitz feels sweet, like a sunset over Malibu. But Carpenter’s instantly iconic chorus (“Heartbreak is one thing; my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, m*****f*****”) is a fully loaded gun TikTok girls are going crazy over. It’s so iconic that it’s challenging Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen for the top spot on this week’s BH100. Stream “Please Please Please” by Sabrina Carpenter below!
