American rapper, record producer, and audio engineer Pierre Bourne, released his new album Good Movie on Friday, September 2nd. The album cover depicts old fashioned theatre and drive in movie tickets. Good Movie gives us a glimpse into Pierre Bourne’s persona and lifestyle. The 28-year-old has made a name for himself in the rap game with the cloudy Trap record “Drunk And Nasty” and the chill melodic track “Poof.” It was only right for Pierre to release a new project this year after the viral success of “Drunk And Nasty” in 2021.
Lyrical Content In Good Movie
The 23-track project Good Movie arrived on September 2nd and features Don Toliver and Young Nudy. On the title track “Good Movie” Pierre Bourne parades his relationship and lavish lifestyle. He compares his rich, sex-filled lifestyle to a good movie. His woman is laser focused on Pierre and he has stolen her heart. The first track “Opening Scene” is an upbeat, scrambled instrumental serving as an introduction to Pierre’s movie. The following track “Shorty Diary” details an outside perspective of a broken relationship. The girl deals with a stalker ex, toxicity, and an untrustworthy partner. She shares a sexual relationship with Pierre and finds comfort with him.
In “Kevin Heart” Pierre unleashes his cocky side and flaunts his sex life. On the other hand, “Superstar” displays the rapper/producer in a romantic light. He praises his girl rapping,
“You’re a star/From afar/On the moon/See you soon”
He raps about feeling like an astronaut, on top of the world, because his girl is like a star. Similarly, the rapper refers to himself as an astronaut on the sixth track off Good Movie, “Love Drill.”

The track details relationship struggles in that Pierre feels that loving his girlfriend feels like work. When they are together their connection is undeniable but his girl is experiencing hardship and they need space.

Good Movie heavily focuses on sex and love and takes the listener on a journey of Pierre’s wild lifestyle, and the rise and fall of his relationship. Many gravitate towards his sound which is characterized by mellow beats and catchy hooks. In detail, the producer began writing raps at an early age and eventually dabbled in making beats. Fast forward to 2017 he produced one of the biggest rap hits of the year with “Magnolia” by Playboi Carti. Pierre has produced for notable artists Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, Big Sean, Travis Scott and more. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the young rapper/producer.
