Chart-topping Peso Pluma and Anitta have just dropped a new single and music video for their collaborative track, “BELLAKEO.”
Peso Pluma Closes Out 2023 With “BELLAKEO”
To begin, as Billboard’s 2023 Rookie of the Year, Peso Pluma has shaken up Latin music this year with hit after hit. With a few weeks left in the year, the Mexican-born singer is far from finished. Last week, the singer dropped a collaborative track with Brazilian artist, Anitta, alongside a music video from director Willy Rodríguez. With a hard-hitting track and a brilliant collab with a GRAMMY-nominated artist, Pluma looks to be an artist who will greatly impact music going forward.
Moreover, “BELLAKEO” is an interesting change of pace from the normal corridos tumbados that Pluma typically puts out. He continuously displays an insane range of artistry, delving into multiple genres in Latin music to make one thing clear. He’s not to be placed in a box. In this track, the seductive anthem details the chase that takes place in a dance-filled night in the club. Between Pluma’s gritty vocals and Anitta’s sensual dancing, “BELLAKEO” excels at showcasing Latin music’s rise in prominence. With artists like Bad Bunny, Karol G, Shakira and J Balvin, Peso Pluma is simply adding to the ranks of artists that are pushing Latin America to the forefront of music. And it would not come as a surprise for “BELLAKEO” to join the likes of Pluma’s collab with Eslabon Armado, “Ella Baila Sola,” as a chart-topping track.
