Ozuna Narrates a Breakup in “Te Pienso”

Puerto Rican singer and rapper Ozuna released his new single “Te Pienso” only days prior to his new album OzuTochi, which came out last Friday.

New Song, and New Album!

Ozuna’s new album OzuTochi just arrived. It follows his streak of doing one album per year after 2021’s Los Dioses, and 2020’s Enoc. The 18-song project features solo tracks as well as staggering features with artists like Pedro Capo, Tokischa, J Balvin, and Arcangel.

Yet, only three days before the album’s release, he decided to give his fans one last teaser of the LP. “Te Pienso” arrived as a new single, and a music video to bring the song to life accompanied it. Fernando Lugo, which has previously worked with other reggaeton stars like Bad Bunny, Anuel AA, and Daddy Yankee, stepped in as the director.

In the music video, Ozuna stars with Colombian artist Manresa, who takes on the role of Ozuna’s ex. She appears in his dreams and illusions as a ghost when he drinks too much, and makes him remember the good times they spent together, which makes him miss her even more.

Ozuna Compares His Breakup to Shakira’s

In the song, Ozuna sings about not being over a person who he shared an important part of his life with, and now all he does is drink to fulfill that emptiness. “So here I am another night. Waiting for the day. I still think of you, they’re about to close. And I don’t want to go yet,” he sings in Spanish.

In one part of the track, Ozuna mentions the recent breakup of Shakira and Gerard Pique, and compares it to his own breakup. “Forgetting you, seems not to end. As they yell at Pique: “Shaki” even in the middle of the sea. It seems that your name is going to be tattooed on my heart.” I hope they don’t listen to it, ouch!

“Te Pienso” is out now along with the rest of Ozuna’s album, OzuTochi. So, go take a listen to it now!
