Back in November, R&B singer Coco Jones kicked off the Christmas season by releasing “A Timeless Christmas.” Collaborating with TC Mack, the song entails the classic Christmas theme of bonding over loved ones in a timeless, winter landscape. It creates a cozy vibe that makes fans want to curl up on the couch on a cold winter’s day or enjoy Christmas at their local Christmas market. The new single is the second of two released songs for Jones’ new remake of Destiny’s Child’s 8 Days of Christmas. One of the remakes is of the classic Christmas tune “Silver Bells.” It also follows her most recent headlining tour of her What I Didn’t Tell You Project (Deluxe).
Adding to her holiday cheer, her 2022 debut EP is nominated for Best R&B Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Some additional nominations include Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song for “ICU” and Best New Artist. Along with Grammy nominations, she has also had some notable collaborations. Some of those include BJ the Chicago Kid, Renee Rapp on “Tummy Hurts (Remix)” and Brent Faiyaz on “A Moment of Your Life.”
A former Disney Channel star, Coco Jones recently signed with Def Jam Recordings as of 2022. Her Grammy-nominated single “ICU” followed soon after. It reached the 21st spot on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. She released her debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, soon after. As she still continues to act, she is currently starring on the Peacock TV series Bel-Air. Other notable releases from this year include “Love Is War” and “Until the End of Time” with Leon Thomas. As 2023 comes to a close for the young singer, it will be interesting to see what 2024 has in store.
