Singer-songwriter and actress Noah Cyrus released her latest single “Ready To Go,” after May’s “Mr. Percocet.”
Noah is Gearing Up For Her Debut Album
Noah is getting ready to release her debut album! The singer has been sharing music from this exciting new era since April this year when she unveiled the album’s lead single “I Burned LA Down.” She followed up with “Mr. Percocet” in May, and now, she’s giving us a third song to enjoy: “Ready To Go.”
“Ready To Go” is Cousins With “July”
“Ready To Go” is a slow-paced, tragic song, where Noah directly talks to a lover explaining that even though she has a lot of love for that person, it’s better for them to leave if they don’t feel the same anymore. “I’ll stay, we’ll burn. ‘Til you leave first…So go. If you’re ready to go, yeah, make your move, no, I won’t follow. It’s inevitable and we both know that we’re on borrowed time. How fast and far it flies,” she sings.
“I call this song ‘July’s sister song’ due to their similarity in lyrics, but in actuality, they’re really more like cousins,” Noah explains, referring to her 2019 song “July.” They’re about different people, entirely different storylines, and each brings up different memories and emotions. In a way, I see a lot of growth in myself from who I was then and who I am now, but at the same time it’s still impossible for me to walk away from people I love, even when it’s harmful to myself.”
The Hardest Part Release Date & Tour
Noah’s debut album, The Hardest Part, was originally set for release on July 15, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it had to be pushed back to September 16. I’m sure the wait will be worth it regardless!
On the bright side, Noah will embark on The Hardest Part Tour almost right after the album release. Kicking off on October 4 in Phoenix, she will travel across the United States and Canada stopping in cities like Nashville, Washington, Montreal, and Denver, before wrapping up on November 4 in Los Angeles.
