Global singer-songwriter Nick Jonas will receive the Golden Glove Award at this year’s “Big Fighters, Big Cause” Charity Boxing Night; presented by The Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation.
The Golden Glove Award Honors Nick Jonas’ Commitment to Raising Awareness for Diabetes
The big event will take place on May 25 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. “Big Fighters, Big Cause” will be hosted by Chris Spencer and will feature a National Anthem performance by Sophia Scott. Also, some live fights will take place, along with a display featuring exclusive items and experiences.
Nick Jonas’ recognition comes thanks to his commitment to raising awareness for diabetes. For those who didn’t know, the artist was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 13 years old. Since then, he has taken multiple actions to help people going through the same experience feel listened to. Above all, encouraged to continue living their lives to the fullest.
Nick is also a co-founder of Beyond Type 1; a global nonprofit organization that provides education and resources to support those affected by diabetes. Additionally, he has served as an advocate for a variety of other important issues, including health and education for youth, as well as advocacy for human rights causes worldwide.
Proceeds from the “Big Fighters, Big Cause” Charity Boxing Night benefit the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation’s mission to fund life-changing research, care, and awareness for pediatric type 1 and 2 diabetes, and to help children live healthier lives through diet and exercise.

Last year, Nick released his latest solo album Spaceman, which followed up on 2016’s Last Year Was Complicated. Besides that, he reunited with his brothers in 2019 which caused the big comeback of the Jonas Brothers, and they have since released their album Happiness Begins.
