Niall Horan is Back After Three Years With “Heaven”

Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan released his first solo single in three years, “Heaven.”

New Album is Coming in June

Niall Horan is finally back! After having to wait for three long years, Niallers (Niall’s fans) can finally enjoy some new music from their favorite artist. “Heaven” is the first track that he’s shared since his 2020 album Heartbreak Weather, which gave us amazing songs such as “Nice To Meet Ya,” “No Judgement,” and “Put A Little Love On Me.”

Now the wait for new music from Niall is finally over. The best part is that “Heaven” is only a teaser of what else is to come. Along with the track release, Niall announced that his new album, The Show, will officially arrive on June 9th. That’s only a few months away! Until then, let’s talk about “Heaven.”

Niall Goes Against Society Norms on “Heaven”

The song offers a slightly different sound than we are used to hearing from Niall, but that shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, he’s proven his versatality when it comes to making new music. The song offers a classic chill pop sound, along with a little bit of alternative thrown into the mix.

Nevertheless, as always, Niall is making sure that his lyricism is what shines the most. “Heaven” is an intimate love song where he is willing to not let the pressure of societal rules come in between his relationship with someone he loves, to see how far things can go naturally. “God only knows where this could go. And even if our love starts to grow out of control. And you and me go up in flames. Heaven won’t be the same,” he sings in the chorus.

“One thing I’ve learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age,” Niall shared in a press release. “Whether that’s getting married or anything else that really should be based on our own instincts. As I’ve gotten older I’ve tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart. The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving into outside pressures.”

If you want to see even more of Niall, he’s going to be one of the new coaches at The Voice. The new season starts on March 6, so stay tuned!
