XO, Kitty has just been renewed for its second season on Netflix.
The hit Netflix television series, XO, Kitty, is getting a season 2, and fans can’t wait to see what drama comes Kitty’s way.
Produced by Awesomeness Studios and ACE Entertainment, XO, Kitty premiered on May 18 with great success. According to Netflix, the show debuted at No. 2 on the English TV List. It had 72.1 million viewing hours. The series appeared in Netflix’s Top 10 in 90 countries in its first week. Less than a month later, on June 14th, Netflix renewed the show.
The series is a spin-off of Netflix’s film series To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. While the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before movies were your essential teen rom-coms, XO, Kitty throws a little extra spice into the story. The show feels like a combination of the classic American rom-com and the K-drama stories that have hit streaming platforms. K-dramas have been gaining more and more exposure and attention over the past few years. It seems like XO, Kitty is trying to find the perfect marriage between both genres.
What’s in Store for Kitty’s Second Year at KISS?
Unfortunately, there have not been any season 2 details released yet. So far, the specifics of what another year at KISS holds for Kitty and her friends are unknown. However, fans love to speculate and throw theories around.
Most of those theories are mainly centered around who Kitty will end up with. Her unrequited love story with Yuri may not stay unrequited for long. Though Yuri has missed her girlfriend, Juliana, missing someone and being with someone are two different experiences.
To add to the love turmoil, Min Ho confessed his feelings for Kitty while the two were together on the plane. This transforms her love story from unrequited to possibly a love triangle.
Kitty, Yuri, Min Ho, Dae, Q, and everyone else on the show are sure to have more dramatic adventures in XO, Kitty’s next season.
