Miley Cyrus Drops “Attention: Miley Live” Album

Miley Cyrus, our favorite popstar-turned-rockstar, dropped a new live album. Titled Attention: Miley Live, the album includes two new songs, a plethora of her older music, and some of her most iconic covers.

Two New Tracks

“Attention,” the title track of the album, was first teased at a live show in February. “You” was also debuted live at Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party Hosted by Miley Cyrus. The tracks drastically differ from each other, with “Attention” being futuristic and disorderly and “You” being slow and heartfelt. You can listen to “You” here and “Attention” here.

Miley Cyrus Makes Us Nostalgic

Besides two new tracks, Miley included many older songs on her live album. She adds iconic tracks like “We Can’t Stop,” “Party in the USA” and “The Climb.” She is truly a vocal powerhouse with so much of her talent on display as she reinvents her older music. Miley Cyrus reminds us all as to why she has been a music great for over a decade. Her ability to switch between genres, break the rules, and put on a truly wonderful show is unmatched.

Covers on Attention: Miley Live

Miley is known to perform some jaw-dropping covers, and her most notable are added to Attention: Miley Live. Miley shines on “Heart of Glass” by Blondie and “Like a Prayer” by Madonna. Her performance of “Jolene,” however, is probably the most iconic. Dolly Parton, who originally wrote and recorded “Jolene,” is not only a country legend but also Miley’s godmother. It’s no surprise that Miley’s performance of the track is a fan favorite.

The Album is Fan-Made

Though Attention: Miley Live seems like a collection of Miley’s favorite songs, it’s actually a collection of her fan’s favorite tracks.Upon the release of the album, Cyrus wrote on Twitter, “I asked my audience what songs they’d like to see me perform at upcoming shows and this is the set list YOU created… From fan favorite covers to some of my oldest songs, newest songs & original unreleased songs YOU & ATTENTION!”
