Get ready for the third installment the Migos capturing the true culture of modern Hip-Hop. The rap group has officially announced last week that the album will be as early as June 11.
It will follow up 2018’s Culture II and each member’s debut solo studio albums, released between October 2018 and February 2019.
Since a few compilation albums like Quality Control, the group has settled down in recent times. But that time has been spent well as we got a tease of what’s to come from the Migos. On May 14 they dropped their first single since 2020’s “Racks 2 Skinny” which didn’t leave much of an impression.
“Straightenin” is the latest single from the legendary trio after a year out of the lab. Even though their last two single fell short, this song from the group is an absolute banger.
The flutes and 808 bass layered over their iconic flow, takes us back to the first Culture when Migos pioneered a new style of rap music. From the sound of things, Migos is constructing another classic just like the first and second installments.
So far, there have been eight songs that have been confirmed for the track-list half of which are official releases. So far they have enlisted the help of Travis Scott, Young Thug, Pop Smoke, and NBA YoungBoy with more to be announced.
Migos Leading The Culture Again
Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff also revealed a partnership to promote the album with Pollen Presents in Las Vegas. From October 14-17 they plan on taking over Las Vegas to kick start their comeback from the pandemic.
With things starting to open up as well, we might even hear a few tour date coming in the near future also.
Either way, we cant wait for this Culture 3 to drop, solidifying the Migos as the fathers of trap music.
