Metallica Announces “Takeover” Events During M72 North American Tour

Metallica announced a massive ‘takeover’ line-up of events and experiences in conjunction with their North American M72 tour.

According to their website, the tour is wholly unique in order to make every single show special for the fans. Metallica states the following:

“On each Saturday between the two ‘No Repeat’ weekend shows, there will be film fests, pop-up stores, Ross Halfin book signings, AWMH-sponsored opportunities to give back, and so much more. And let’s not forget live music! The lineup making its way through North America with us includes some familiar faces: OTTTO and BASTARDANE, along with tribute bands DAMAGE INC., MOTORBREATH, and SANDMAN. Plus, a few more acts will join the fun in individual cities. Tickets for most of the live shows and film fests go on sale this Friday, June 30, at 10 AM local time, with pre-sales for Fifth Members starting tomorrow, June 27, at 10 AM local time.”

Bands touring with Metallica also include Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, MammothWVH, Pantera, Architects, Greta Van Fleet, and Volbeat.

New Fans Found Through Netflix’s “Stranger Things”

The M72 tour is promoting Metallica’s latest LP, 72 Seasons. It is the iconic heavy metal band’s 11th studio album and their first album release since the band gained an all-new fanbase following the latest season of “Stranger Things.” However, this tour is not their return to the stage after their musical feature on the hit Netflix show. The band headlined Lollapalooza last year, and they have been on world tours throughout the years since their inception in 1981.

Metallica M72 Tour

For many young fans or those new to metal, attending one of the upcoming shows will be their first-ever metal concert. Metallica totally capitalized on this by providing such an interactive and special experience for every show.
