Maren Morris’ RSVP Tour Is, Sadly, Cancelled

A live show from Maren Morris isn’t around the corner, but a third album is.

Adding to the list of things that the covid-19 pandemic has taken from us is Maren Morris’ RSVP tour. The country superstar cancelled the string of shows due to coronavirus being ever present in the United States.

Preparations for the 2021 tour halted because of unsafe conditions and an uncertain future. Touring requires a large crew, a lot of planning, and even more love. The Grammy nominated artist wants to put her all in what she does, but with coronavirus present, that isn’t possible.

“Hi, darlings,” Morris wrote in her statement on Instagram to her 1.5 million followers. “There is so much help with this vaccine being distributed in 2021, but we are still unsure of when we will be able to do the tour next year.”

Maren Morris’ RSVP Tour Cancellation Puts Others First

Of course she would love to go on stage, “come together and enjoy live shows safely,” but fans come first. The singer-songwriter assured them that they will be getting a full refund for their ticket purchases, as well.

It is in the country singer’s character to think of others during every project she works out. Just this past October Morris released the hopeful, heartwarming 2020 anthem, “Better Than We Found It.” A portion of the proceeds from downloads and streams of the track were donated to the Black Women’s Health Imperative.

Fans aren’t too heartbroken about the cancellation, because Morris announced that she is embarking on another musical journey for now. The star is already “in the midst of working on [her] third record,” much to everyone’s delight.

Maren Morris’ RSVP tour might not occur right away, but it does promote safety immediately. Not to mention, it gives her time to perfect another full-length record for people to fall in love with.
