Maren Morris, the beloved country pop star, is leading their year’s Academy of Country Music Awards with six nominations. She is going toe-to-toe with Chris Stapleton, who is the only other artist with six noms.

This week an announcement shared that the star was nominated for six awards from the Academy of Country Music. These six nominations have her leading the group of artists and bands up for awards.
30-year-old Maren Morris is up for the following awards:
Song of the Year: “The Bones”
Single of the Year: “The Bones”
Music Video of the Year: “Better Than We Found It”
Songwriter of the Year
Female Artist of the Year
Group of the Year (Alongside The Highwomen)
This brings Morris up to 16 ACM nominations since 2017. The Academy of Country Music recognizes her for her work as a solo artist, collaborator, songwriter, and member of The Highwomen. The Highwomen also include Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires.
The star has taken home three of those ACMs so far. These include New Female Vocalist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and Music Event of the Year. The latter she shares with Miranda Lambert for “Fooled Around and Fell In Love.”
