Mac Miller’s Mixtape Is Hitting Streaming Services

Next month, the talent of Mac Miller will make one of his most beloved projects available for all. The mixtape Faces is a staple in the musician’s set of music that fans can add in memory of the late rapper.

In September of 2018, Miller passed due to an accidental overdose. He was set to embark on his Swimming Tour later that year.

Mac Miller

It was such a shock to everyone in Hip-Hop because Mac was a huge pillar in the community. His signature R&B soul approach to his music could never be replicated along with the impact it had. The amount of love, happiness, and even sadness Mac expresses in his songs made him so relatable to music fans.

The Many Faces Of Mac Miller

Known as one of his darker projects Faces is the 2014 mixtape Mac uncovers his many identities or faces. With amazing features from the likes of Rick Ross, Vice Staples, and many more the 24-track mixtape is an underground classic. From top to bottom, Faces is crammed with jazzy and lyrical raps, smooth samples, and transparency.

This mixtape also marked a new level of maturity and musical skill Mac was stepping into. We got to see a progression of a mislead skater kid from Pittsburg who made “Frick Park Market” off the debut of Blue Slide Park. From there he evolved into a musical genius plagued by his vices.

After this mixtape, we started seeing classic albums like GO: OD AM, The Devine FeminineSwimmingand Circles. Even though Mac and his talent left this world too early, there’s plenty of bangers we play in his memory. And next month on October 15, the impact of one of the best rappers of our generation will be felt with this mixtape available on streaming services.

So be sure to check out the mixtape as well as a brand new music video for the single “Colors and Shapes” out now.
