Lolo Zouaï, the mastermind behind the digital-arcade world of PLAYGIRL, embarks on her first solo world tour in 2023. After opening for Dua Lipa‘s Future Nostalgia tour, it seems the stars are finally aligning for the 27-year-old. THE PLAYGIRL WORLD TOUR will journey through 32 dates around the world between two different tour legs: UK/Europe and North America.
“I’m so excited to reunite with all my Lo-riders & Playgirls around the world and sing together next year!!!!” She writes on Instagram. “Which city am i gonna see you at??” Get tickets here!
PLAYGIRL by Lolo Zouaï
The resurrected Y2K movement isn’t over until Zouaï has her fill. From the unique blend of early 2000s RnB, glitchy club-pop and West Coast hip-hop, PLAYGIRL paints a perfect backdrop of a chronically digital fantasy. “This whole album is about not boxing myself into any one genre or sound,” she says. “Once I had that revelation – that my album could be like my life itself – it unlocked an entirely new outlook on making music for me.”
Three character sit at the heart of the album: pl4yg1rl, the fun and poppy one; dreamgirl, the vulnerable and intimate one; and partygirl, the reckless one. (Don’t worry, their personalities are color-coded on the track list.) But these faces of Zouaï, or pl4yg1rl, build a versatile, bubbly soundscape that champions young love and true independence, through confident, powerful, and electric femme pop.
THE PLAYGIRL WORLD TOUR
Pl4yg1rl is bound to turn her three-month tour into a unforgettable digital fantasy for her Lo-riders. The rising popstar is taking over Europe’s favorite getaway destinations like London, Amsterdam and Paris before jetting back to her hometown of San Francisco, USA. There, the North America leg will hit hot spots like New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Toronto.
