Maybe you first heard Lizzy McAlpine’s original music… but probably not. You probably ran across a song by Jacob Collier, Ben Kessler, Thomas Headon, Lilacs., J.Pappas, or FINNEAS.
After dropping out of Berklee College of Music in her junior year, Lizzy McAlpine eagerly got her start in music as a indie pop artist. She was featured on many artists’ songs before dropping her first Album, Give Me a Minute, in 2020 and her first EP, When The World Stopped Moving: The Live, in 2021.
The Kick-Off: Features and Debuts
Quickly, Lizzy McAlpine became well-known for her features, original music, and even TikTok’s. Following this gradual rise to fame, she became sought after to highlight her voice on their music and shows. First, she performed her song, “Erase Me,” in November 2021 on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Then, in January 2022, Ellen DeGeneres asked her to plug “All My Ghosts” with a guest appearance and performance.
FINNEAS invited Lizzy to join him in his 2022 Coachella performance. There, she performed her feature on “Hate to Be Lame.” She even caught the attention of music elites Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, and Phoebe Bridgers.
A Lizzy Of All Trades: Other Projects
Lizzy McAlpine is super proud of her film, five seconds flat, which was released in May 2022. Impressively, Lizzy wrote and acted in the film, alongside her on-screen love interest, Scott Albrecht.
In November 2022, Lizzy McAlpine shared her NPR Tiny Desk Concert. According to Lizzy, since simple acoustics and vocals are her typical setup in songwriting, she wanted to let listeners explore that stripped side to her music.
In her newest offer, Lizzy McAlpine is now a singer-songwriter for the intro song to a new Apple Tv+ show! Here’s what she had to say about it: “i got to co-write the main title song for the apple tv+ show Dear Edward with @benjpasek & @justinpaulmusic and i also got to sing it! the song and the show both come out on Friday February 3rd :’)”. Check it out tomorrow!
From One Tour To Another
As of November 27th, 2021, Lizzy McAlpine’s “Five Seconds Flat” Tour ended. But, she’ll be back at it in April 2023. She recently announced her “The End of the Movie” tour with up and coming singer Olivia Barton. If you’re looking for tickets to Lizzy’s show, you’re probably out of luck. Only 5 days after tickets went on sale, all of her American concerts sold out, along with 2 of her international concerts. Lizzy only has tickets remaining to two of her international shows: Paris, France and Berlin, Germany.
Just a few months ago Lizzy reflected: “i started in 2018 at 7k streams and now 4 years later im at 206 MILLION.” If her rise is any indication, it won’t be long before Lizzy McAlpine is top of the charts.
