Hip hop star Lizzo revealed that she would love to collaborate with K-POP power band BTS in the future.
Lizzo & BTS’ J-Hope Have Become Friends
Calling all Lizzbians and Army! What are your thoughts about a Lizzo and BTS collab? Because it might happen! The “About Damn Time” singer revealed that she’s become good friends with BTS’ J-Hope.
While speaking on the Audacy podcast Lizzo explained, “I got J-Hope’s number, so we be texting. He’s a great texter, expressive. He does not leave you unread. If it’s been a while since he’s texted, he’s like ‘I’m so sorry,’ and he apologizes for how long it’s taken.”
“I think that’s always why I’ve gravitated towards BTS because they remind me of myself where it’s like, self-love and this positive energy and the way they love their fans. I feel the same way and they genuinely have just pure, positive energy all the time.”
And when asked if she’d like to collaborate with the septet, she replied: “I have to be careful because their fans are fierce! But absolutely, I would just say [I’d like to collaborate with BTS]. I would love to.”
They Both Have Worked in Great Collaborations
Lizzo is not new to exploring collaborations with talented artists. Last year, she joined forces with Cardi B for her comeback single “Rumors,” and in her 2019 album Cuz I Love You she recruited Missy Elliott, Gucci Mane, and even Ariana Grande for her smashing hit “Good as Hell.”
BTS is not staying behind either. Their most recent collaboration with Coldplay on “My Universe” already surpasses 500 million streams on Spotify alone, and that comes as no surprise. They’ve also worked with Lauv for the singles “Make it Right” and “Who,” and Halsey for “Boy With Luv.” Do you think Lizzo will be next on their list? Tell us in the comments!
