Lizzo Announces Her Documentary, “Love, Lizzo”

“Love, Lizzo” will be a documentary about the life of American singer and musician Lizzo.

On November 24, “Love, Lizzo” will premiere, giving fans a glimpse into Lizzo’s world like never before. This marks her return after her smash hit “About Damn Time.” American singer and rapper Melissa Viviane Jefferson, known professionally as Lizzo, will not be returning with new music anytime soon. But the singer will, in fact, release a very personal documentary. “Love, Lizzo” on November 24 will share the life story of Lizzo in her own words.

Further, the documentary will introduce fans to the life behind Lizzo’s fame and success. The artist will open the doors to what lies behind the scenes. The singer has experienced hurdles publicly and privately, especially since becoming a megastar. Lizzo has been making music forever, but “Truth Hurts” was the smash hit that finally gave her recognition. “Love, Lizzo” will give a very personal and emotional narration of the singer’s past and present.

What Can We Expect From Lizzo’s Documentary?

Commenting on her upcoming documentary, the artist mentioned:

“Growing up I never dreamed I’d get to experience all of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started.

“I’m so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max. From Cuz I Love You to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album Special, y’all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process. It takes 10 years to become an “overnight success,” and hopefully I can inspire other young creatives to keep going.”

According to Billboard, “Love, Lizzo” will explore, “the journey of a trailblazing superstar who has become the movement the world desperately needed just by being herself.” Moreover, it will narrate, “the inspirational story behind her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise with an intimate look into the moments that shaped her hard-earned rise to fame, success, love and international stardom.”

 

The documentary will be available on HBO Max starting November 24.
