Little Big Town Loves Hailey Whitters
Little Big Town will feature on Hailey Whitters’ new deluxe album Living The Dream, out February 26th. The country act is one of several contributors to the rising country star’s rerelease of her breakout 2020 album, The Dream. Living The Dream’s lineup also includes Brent Cobb, Jordan Davis, Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna, and Trisha Yearwood.
There is a mutual admiration between Little Big Town and Whitters, as they’ve worked together before. Whitters co-wrote “Happy People”, a big hit for the Nashville veterans. She later recorded her own version, which is featured on this deluxe album release.
The new title tells us this deluxe edition isn’t some rehash of previously released songs, but a true expansion upon the original album’s premise. Five new songs are coming out, with new vocals adding another layer of depth. The new tracks are as follows: “Fillin’ My Cup” (feat. Little Big Town), “The Ride” (feat. Jordan Davis), “Glad to Be Here” (feat. Brent Cobb), “How To Break A Heart” (feat. Lori McKenna & Hillary Lindsey), and “How Far Can It Go?” (feat. Trisha Yearwood).
Living The Dream
Whitters had this to say about her collaborators in the press release, “All of the artists featured on this project are responsible for me being able to hang up the apron strings and make music full-time. The royalties from Little Big Town’s cut on “Happy People” helped pay for part of The Dream. Brent Cobb and Jordan Davis were two of the first artists to take me on tour. Lori McKenna and Hillary Lindsey are my two songwriting idols and favorite co-creators. Trisha Yearwood is one of the first artists that got me excited about moving to Nashville and pursuing country music.”
