LILHUDDY Strips Down “The Eulogy of You and Me”

There’s a new side of LILHUDDY being brought to light in his new release, “The Eulogy of You and Me (Acoustic).”

LILHUDDY Creates Power Punk For The Ages

If there’s one thing today’s youth is doing right, it is bringing back pop punk. One of Geffen Records most recently signed artists has thrown himself into the deep end of the genre.

LILHUDDY, also known as Chase Hudson, is working hard to make alt rock mainstream again. With tens of millions of followers on TikTok alone, the rising singer-songwriter has the ability to influence many. The Gen Z demographic who are yearning for a good rock revival are looking to Hudson for solace.

His last single, “The Eulogy of You and Me,” dropped mid-February. It’s power punk tendencies alongside head-turning melodies has made it an instant hit. Due to its success, as well as LILHUDDY’s need to keep creating art, he released an acoustic version.

On April 1, 2021, the rocker released “The Eulogy of You and Me” (Acoustic). If fans thought the melodies were amazing the first time around, this stripped down version takes it up a notch.

The once anthemic, vivacious alt rock song has turned truly beautiful with this rendition. LILHUDDY’s raw vocals allow for genuine vulnerability to shine through. Emotions in rock are often hard to navigate, but LILHUDDY has it down pat with just his sophomore single.

Alongside the acoustic release was a video of the star performing the stripped down version. He filmed the live, acoustic performance at one of music’s most iconic Los Angeles venues, Whiskey A-Go-Go. At only 19-years-old, this generation-defining and genre-shifting star is making leaps and bounds toward achieving his musical dreams.

From Internet Star to Movie Star to Rockstar

Fame is a weird thing these days. With social media platforms giving way to beautiful people and interesting talents, stars are popping up in small towns all around the globe. Musicians like Addison Rae and Dixie D’amelio had their start on TikTok. LILHUDDY is no different.

Although he’s all skulls, crossbones, black nail polish, and ripped jeans, he’s a huge TikTok star. Part heartthrob, part musician, LILHUDDY has the internet wrapped around his finger. His debut single, “21st Century Vampire,” has amassed almost 18 million streams worldwide. That’s not even including the eerie, fantasy-based music video for it that has over seven-and-a-half million views.

His introduction to the world was exactly the niche he wanted to be in, meaning he didn’t change for anybody. Growing up in Northern California, Chase Hudson found himself a huge fan of music. The pop punk genre influenced him in so many ways. Some of his inspirations are Blink-182, My Chemical Romance, One Direction, and 5 Seconds of Summer. This shows that he is into melodic and unique bands, which only adds depth to his own career.

Mixing rough guitar riffs, cutting-edge fashion, and top-notch harmonies makes LILHUDDY, LILHUDDY. It’s this level of authenticity that got him recruited by Machine Gun Kelly to star in his directorial debut Downfalls High. The film grossed over 40 million views – and LILHUDDY was the main character.

Every step of LILHUDDY’s career has pushed him further and further into the spotlight, but not once has he changed who he is. He’s a little emo and a bit grunge, but there are hints of the pop underneath his rockstar looks. This stripped down single, out now, only amplifies what he has to offer.
