Saturday Night Live wraps its 2021 season this week with a bang as the musical guest is Lil Nas X. Hosting will be Actress from Netflix’s Queen’s Gambit, Anya Taylor-Joy.
This is the perfect stage for the quickly rising star and his unpredictable energy to perform on and we can’t wait. After causing and massive amount of commotion for the video to “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” it should turn out to be an interesting performance.
His latest hit “Montero” debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100. After giving him a second number-one hit, it also went platinum.
Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’ hit has also shattered records and industry conventions. The track got the rookie artists his first Grammy wins for a track that sparked a wider cultural conversation about the hallmarks of country music itself.
He will most likely preform those two songs for the show as the crazy SNL season comes to a close. It will also be entertaining to see if Lil Nas makes an appearance in a skit or two.
