Leon Thomas III Is Ready to Go Solo

If you’re in your 20’s you definitely remember Victorious. The Nickelodeon TV show, which ran from 2010 to 2013, launched many successful artists including Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice. It was one of Nickelodeon’s cults together with iCarly, Big Time Rush and many others. And so who doesn’t remember about the most talented student of the Hollywood Arts, André Harris, played by Leon Thomas III. Well… just so you know, André/Leon Thomas has never given up on his musical dream.

The Man Behind Your Favorite Artist

He’s now 30 years old, and besides being a multi-instrumentalist, he achieved so many successes during these last few years. Mainly as an author: he was indeed co-producer of the album ‘Stoney’ (2016) by Post Malone. Not only him though, since he also worked for Ariana Grande, Rick Ross, Kehlani, J. Cole and many more.

But for Leon Thomas being the behind the scenes was not enough. He wanted people to listen to his voice, other than leave his signature on other’s projects. So, from 2018,  comes the debut EP Genesis, which contains the hits Blessing”and “Beg.” Critics love the project, then Ty Dolla $ign notices Leon Thomas’s talent and decides to sign him for EZMNY Records. On September 22nd there’s also a collaboration for the two on the track ‘Love Jones’.

Upcoming Album Electric Dusk

We don’t have a date yet,  but it’s been announced that later this year the LA-based artist will release his first official album called Electric Dusk. Thomas teases that Electric Dusk contains features from Ty Dolla $ign, Benny the Butcher, and one more he can’t announce just yet, but notes it could potentially be for a “really nice remix of Breaking Point” coming very soon.” He’s also manifesting future collaborations with Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, and a “rite of passage” feature from Beyoncé. But in the meantime, the multihyphenate just dropped the music video for “Breaking Point” in the lead-up to his debut album.

Only option we have, at least for now, is to wait,  but expectations are high. The acting days are just a good memory, Leon Thomas III wants to take it all.
