Latto and 21 Savage Get Racy on “Wheelie”

Latto Drops the Much-Hyped “Wheelie”

Two Atlanta natives, Latto and 21 Savage team up for a raunchy new drop on “Wheelie.” Latto has been steadily rising to fame since her 2019 hit “Bitch From Da Souf.” And last year she earned her first top 40 hit with “Big Energy,” an infectiously energetic track heavily sampling Tom Tom Club’s 1981 single, “Genius of Love.” But while she has a pop hit with “Big Energy,” this new drop assures us she’s not done with rap. Latto has been teasing the song since February and to fans’ delight, it’s finally here.

“Wheelie” rides along a booming bassline as Latto spits bars about her superior sex appeal. “Pop it like a wheelie/ Hop on top and I go silly” she raps on the chorus before 21 Savage drops his verse. 21’s verse is slightly underwhelming, sounding a bit uninterested. It’s rumored that Latto and 21 used to date, but based on the chemistry between them on this track, you wouldn’t think so. But seems the catchy chorus may already be blowing up on Tik Tok with its own dance. My prediction is that this will be a club banger we’ll be dancing to all summer. The music video is directed by Collin Tilley, who’s worked with Megan Thee Stallion, Justin Bieber, and Kendrick Lamar. The video shows Latto “pop it like a wheelie” on motorcycles all over Atlanta.
