“LA 167”: The Last Project for Farruko?

LA 167” is the title of the last project of Farruko, multi platinum singer and winner of 2 Latin Grammys. Class of ’91, the artist from Puerto Rico surely doesn’t need any presentation, considering indeed his massive music successes.

“Pepas” and featurings

LA 167,” besides being a full-bodied album, contains the hit “Pepas,” 300 million of clicks just on Spotify and always in our playlists from June to now. 25 tracks and almost as many featurings, with some big names as Pedro CapoNoriel and Jay Wheeler. In addition to the album, Farruko has also dropped the official videoclip of “El Incomprendido” ft. Victor Cardenas & DJ Adoni, directed by Mike Ho.

The project tells of a nostalgic, happy and proud Farruko, with all his facets, but could be also the last of his discography. Farruko, as others as Daddy Yankee and Enrique Iglesias, seems want to end his music career soon to moves to different fields. Because of this, “LA 167” is THE album and, like it or not, will definitely sign off his discography.

The different sounds of “LA 167”

The many tracks spaces from a classic reggaeton to a new and never tried EDM sound, with trap influences. Fortunately, the featurings change the various moods. Because yes, Farruko is a hitmaker, but 25 songs are probably too much. It’s also hard to always be interesting on an album for an hour and a half.

Anyway, “LA 167” is a good project, dropped in a full year for the artist from Puerto Rico. He’s now living the best moment of his career, and seems to be destined to many other things. But it will depend on him, music or not. Sure would be a pity if he will disappeared from the scene, no doubts. Fans will say the final judgments, and live concerts are coming soon. Music Daily is looking forward for that… and you?
