Kelsea Ballerini Announces 1st Major Arena Show

Kelsea Ballerini is playing her first major arena show. The event is taking place on November 2nd in Knoxville.

In an Instagram post, she released a teaser with the following caption.

“Throughout the last decade and four albums, there has been a consistent ode to my hometown. Whether it be lyrically like in ‘Half Of My Hometown’ or celebrating milestone moments in venues like my high school, the Tennessee Theater, or the Civic Center, it’s always been incredibly important to me to go back to the place that let me go to chase my dream.”

She added, “Playing Thompson-Boling has been on my bucket list since I was a little kid watching my favorite musicians come through town and is the perfect place to celebrate such a bookmark year and kick off a new level of touring. See you November 2, Knoxville.”

The openers for the homecoming show are artists Ingrid Andress and Georgia Webster.

Kelsea Ballerini’s EP

Kelsea Ballerini’s latest release is the August 11th re-release of her EP, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good). Speaking to The Tennessean, she discussed the EP and the feelings behind her music.

“It’s taken me a decade to defeat the imposter syndrome that makes me feel like people don’t know my music. However, in the past 12 months, because people began to care about what I was doing outside of music, this super-terrifying thing has happened where people care about my art and my life equally. As much as I created it, this music loudly belongs to my fans — having this type of interplay with my fans has changed the expectations of my career.”

The country singer-songwriter was the subject of a public divorce with fellow country artist Morgan Wallen. The re-release addresses the changes Ballerini’s gone through since such a publicized and still private event. A welcome-home show is the perfect way to move onward.
