Kacy Hill Drops “Easy Going” and Announces Album

Kacy Hill drops a new single and announces her third album

Simple Sweet and Smiling Album CoverPhoenix, Arizona, native Kacy Hill has just dropped her new single “Easy Going.”  The track is the second single from her new album “Simple, Sweet, and Smiling,” announced at the time of the drop.  Hill, in an interview with NYLON, said the album is “[an] 11-song body of work that I think covers a lot of ground with how I’ve felt over the past couple years.”  Further, “Easy Going” comes about a month after her August 27th release of “Seasons Bloom.”  It serves as the lead single for her third studio album.  However, when comparing the singles, Seasons Bloom is definitely the calm to Easy Going‘s storm.

Why being easy going is hard

Easy Going Single Cover - Kacy HillExcitingly, the track has a superstar lineup of producers.  Other than Kacy Hill herself, the song has production from Jim-E Stack and Ethan Gruska.  The producers have worked with people from Charli XCX, Caroline Polacheck, Phoebe Bridgers, and Diplo.  The combination of such artists gives us a melancholy, 80’s influenced, bass-laced song.  Lyrically, Hill sings about the anxiety that all of us reel with but can’t seem to figure out why.  She perfectly narrates the internal fight you have when trying to shake uneasiness.  It’s not sadness, it’s not anger, it’s just “something” the singer says.  She decides that “going through all the motions” is the way she knows how to deal with it – be easy going.

What else the artist is up to

Additionally, Hill has also announced a tour for her third album. The “Simple, Sweet, and Selfish” tour will go through 18 different U.S. cities before stopping in LA for the final show.  Tickets can be found on her website at kacyhill.com in addition to merch for her new era.  Finally, you can find Kacy Hill on Twitter and Instagram at @KacyHill and look forward to her new album out on October, 15th.
