In an emotional finale to the iconic series, Carpool Karaoke, Adele joins James Corden for one last ride to work.

Throughout the segment, Adele and James reminisce on their friendship and James’ eight years at the Late Late Show. It is evident the love and respect the two have for each other, especially as they recall how their friendship developed over the years. In multiple instances, you can see both Adele and James with tears in their eyes. Despite the little tidbits of humor laced throughout the video, it is bittersweet as they do all things Carpool Karaoke for the very last time.

James Corden’s Takeover of the Late Late Show

The Late Late Show is coming to an end after James Corden announced he and his family would be leaving Los Angeles. When Adele asks James what he will miss the most, he said, “I think I’ll miss going into work with my friends every day. And I’m really going to miss Los Angeles. I love it here – it’s been a brilliant adventure… but I’m just so certain that it’s time… to go home.”

James Corden’s late night talk show has been iconic for a variety of reasons. The show has hosted 105 stand-up sets since it first aired in 2015, giving multiple comedians the space to debut their skillset to a worldwide audience. Additionally, Corden hosted some popular recurring segments such as “Drop the Mic,” “Crosswalk the Musical,” and “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts.”

Lastly, the Late Late Show was known for the illustrious celebrities featured on each episode. James Corden welcomed stars from various backgrounds – from actors like Tom Hanks, Ke Huy Quan, and Mila Kunis, to musicians like Niall Horan, Tori Kelly, and BTS, there was no shortage of talent for the popular TV show. Over his 5 years as the talkshow host, Corden produced 1,193 episodes.
