This Friday, Isaiah Rashad is back with a new album after years of waiting and he’s holding nothing back. The House Is Burning is the rapper’s third studio album and with so much hype around the last project, fans are expecting big things.
Rightfully so too, the three songs Rashad released before the album are some of his most popular songs to date. The tracks “Lay Wit Ya“, “Headshots“, and “Wat U Sed” encapsulate his unique flow also while highlighting his musical growth.
Isaiah Rashad’s new project has 16-tracks that show different parts of his life as a successful rapper as well as his past. In addition, the project contains features from a talented cast of musicians including Duke Deuce, Kal Banx, and many more.
As far a production goes, the album’s two singles feature production from Hollywood Cole and Henry Was. Rashad also confirmed that TIGGI and Free P produced a few tracks. And during an interview with FADER, Kenny Beats revealed his involvement with the album too.
Overall it is great to hear the unmatched chill vibe that Isaiah Rashad brings to every track proving the wait to be worth it. With well-mixed production and some great bars, Rashad has cooked up some heat with this one. Although I don’t think we will see any track hit the Billboard Top 10 Charts, this album is perfect for lovers of hip-hop and rap.
Isaiah Rashad Before The Burn
The Tennessee rapper has two projects to his name and hasn’t released a new album in nearly five years, until now. His big break came in 2012 at Smoker’s Club Tour and a year later he would get a record deal. Once signing with Top Dawg Entertainment, Isaiah released Cilvia Demo, his debut album. Cilvia Demo was met with widespread acclaim from music critics and debuted at 40 on the US Billboard 200.
Following the 2014 release, Rashad came back even hard in two years later. The Sun’s Tirade is the rapper’s sophomore studio album. The project saw even more success than his debut and skyrocketed the rapper to a new level of fame. It peaked at number 17 on the Billboard and features his most popular song titled “Wat’s Wrong“.
Despite the huge success of his music, however, Rashad was still struggling in his personal life. After constantly battling against alcohol and drugs, Isaiah finally entered rehab in 2019.
Now the rapper is back and better than ever with this new project and we couldn’t be happier to see him burning tracks up again.
Isaiah Rashad also plans to return to the stage with Boston’s House Of Blues this September. Then the rapper will go on the Lil Sunny’s Awesome Vacation tour. The 42-city event will start in November and will end in Rashad’s hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
