Imagine Dragons are back at it again. After the success that their last single “Enemy” has had over the past weeks, they released a new track called “Bones.”
Imagine Dragons Have a New Project on The Way
“Enemy,” has topped the Alternative Radio chart for the past five weeks. That is definitely well-deserved, as the song is completely a banger. Now, they are showing that they are not going anywhere, as “Bones” is the first offering that Imagine Dragons share from their upcoming studio album Mercury – Act 2.
Back in September, Imagine Dragons released their latest album Mercury – Act 1. The album included 14 songs, containing hits such as “Follow You,” “Cutthroat” and “My Life.” Nevertheless, the band is now announcing that the project’s follow-up, Mercury – Act 2, is coming out later this year.
“Bones” Reminds Us of Our Vulnerability as Human Beings
“Bones” explores the vulnerability that we as human beings deal with every single day. “‘Bones’ is a reflection of my constant obsession with the finality and fragility of life,” says Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds. “I’m always in search of some evidence that will convince me that there is more to come – that life is truly eternal in some sense. Having yet to find that, I try to at least dream of what conquering death would feel like in a song.”
“Our patience is waning, is this entertaining? I, got this feeling, yeah, you know. Where I’m losing all control. ‘Cause there’s magic in my bones,” are some of the lyrics in the new song.
“Bones” was produced by Swedish songwriting/production duo Mattman & Robin (Nick Jonas, Celeste), who also helmed “Enemy.”
