Award-winning singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week on Hollywood Boulevard. The Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, emceed the ceremony, with Machine Gun Kelly guest speaking. The event was available to watch live exclusively on walkoffame.com. Lavigne was awarded her star in the Recording category.
The punk rock legend has had a career of history-making. She has a spot in the top 10 of Billboard’s Best of the 2000s chart. She holds a Guinness World Record as the youngest female soloist to top UK charts. Her music video for “Girlfriend” was the first music video on YouTube to ever reach 100 million views. Her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is more than well-deserved.

Additionally, all three of the live theatre/live performance honorees are also widely known for their music.
