GloRilla, Cardi B, Ice Spice, and More Set for Summer Jam in NYC

Hot 97’s Summer Jam is back if action at a new location.

Returning this year in Elmont, NY, Summer Jam will be taking place on June 4th at the UBS Arena. In 2022, the festival was brought to an end after the decision was made to sell the Summer Jam campgrounds to build a 19,000-seat amphitheater at Canterbury Commons.

This year is hip-hop’s 50th anniversary, so you know Hot 97 had to bring out some big names. NYC native Cardi B is the headliner. The lineup additionally includes names like Ice Spice, GloRilla, Lola Brooke, Fivio Foreign, Lil TJay, and more. There is also a strong female presence in the lineup this year. Female hip-hop fans are ecstatic about how they’re dominating the hip-hop industry right now.

Considered one of the most iconic hip-hop shows in the world, this is reportedly their 29th year. Many New York artists are taking the stage this year, and because New York is the home and originator of hip-hop, the natives are as prideful as ever. Lola Brooke, Brooklyn-born rising rapper, will be experiencing this festival for the first time, alongside other New York natives Ice Spice and Lil TJay.

“This means everything to me. This is a New York City artist’s dream. It’s so crazy because the first time I never been to Summer Jam, I said I wasn’t coming back until I was on stage and I never came back.”

Summer Jam will also be including The Lox, a ’90s hip-hop group, to celebrate with the rest of New York. The group formed in 1994 and is from Yonkers. Their name? An acronym for “Living Off Xperience.” The group includes East Coast rappers Sheek Louch, Styles P, and Jadakiss.

Tickets will be on sale on Saturday, April 8th at 10 a.m. EST. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, run, don’t walk!
