Iconic rock band Fall Out Boy has returned with new music with the single “Love From The Other Side.”
New Music From Fall Out Boy After Five Years!
“Love From The Other Side” is the perfect lead single for Fall Out Boy’s new era. The song offers their classic pop-punk sound that fans love, and it also has some kind of nostalgia. In the “Love From The Other Side” music video, Fall Out Boy members play part in an imaginary tale that a grandfather reads to his granddaughter as a bedtime story, portraying “The Princess Bride” storyline.
A New Album Is Coming In March
“Love From The Other Side” arrives as the first taste of new music that Fall Out Boy has shared in five years, since the release of their last album MANIA in 2018. But, that’s not the only good news they shared. They also announced that their new album, So Much (For) Stardust will be out on March 24. That’s so soon!
Fall Out Boy shared a message through a press release with the album announcement. “Technology has made it really easy to make records much more quickly these days,” vocalist Patrick Stump said. “There’s nothing wrong with that, and that spontaneity can be exciting. But we wanted to get back to the way we used to work. We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided – like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I’m not a very proud guy, but I’m pretty proud of this record.”
So Much (For) Stardust also sees Fall Out Boy reuniting with producer Neal Avron, who they collaborated with on albums From Under the Cork Tree, Infinity on High and Folie à Deux.
“Our band has been an ongoing art project for 20 years and we know there have been many inception points along that journey,” bassist Pete Wentz said. “We wanted to create an album that merged those points together – something new, but carved from our foundation. Fueled By Ramen and Elektra seemed like the perfect home for this.”
