When We Were Young Fest Promises Throwback Delicacies
For those of us who longingly look back to the days of Van’s Warped Tour, When We Were Young Fest is here to ease our woes. Bringing together some of the most iconic emo staples of music for a day filled with nostalgia, WWWY’s fourth-year lineup is one for the books. The headliners include Fall Out Boy, Pierce the Veil, and the return of the legendary My Chemical Romance. Just when we thought that 2000s emo music was laid to rest, WWWY offers one night to return to some of our favorite childhood artists. And it’s a weekend we know you won’t wanna miss!
Taking place at Las Vegas’ Festival Grounds on October 19th and 20th, WWWY has ramped up its lineup for year two of the fest. Over 50 bands will fill the weekend with songs from their greatest albums. Most notably, My Chemical Romance will play hits from their beloved The Black Parade album. Moreover, A Day to Remember will play off of their Homesick record. Dashboard Confessional will indulge in their 2006 album, Dusk and Summer. And 3OH!3 will throwback to their WANT era in 2008. Second Day Added to WWWY Festival
For most of these bands, these albums haven’t been played in their entirety since their release back in the early 2000s. Next year’s festival promises a night of fan-favorite tracks from back-to-back amazing artists. In a rare instance of all of your favorite emo bands performing together, WWWY is for the music lovers with edgier, throwback tastes. It’s for the millennials who once believed their favorite songs would never see the stage again. And for two nights only, all generations alike can gather and celebrate good ol’ punk-pop/rock in the heart of Las Vegas.
