The Eminem Show

“‘Til I collapse I’m spillin’ these raps/ long as you feel ’em” Eminem used to say in ‘Til I Collapse, from “The Eminem Show.” After 20 years, the song and album still hits as the first time, and the rapper knows it.

Reaching phenomenal numbers when released, the album was -and still is- one of the most successful and most appreciated albums in the music scene of the XXI century. With groundbreaking lines and rhymes, the album stands among the others as one of the most influential records. Produced by Eminem alongside his longtime collaborator Jeff Bass and executive-produced by Dr. Dre, the album was a revolution to the rap and hip hop scene.

With a one day sell of 284,000 records, the album broke multiple records, including being the only album in history to accomplish this achievement. In fact, the album stands as one of the 10 fastest-selling albums. In the list, Eminem appears with “The Marshall Mathers LP” and “Encore” as well. The album reached #1 on the Billboard 200, selling 1.3M copies in the first week. It is still today the 7th largest first-week US total of all time. The Eminem Show also became the best-selling album in the U.S. and worldwide for 2002.
